The Weblog

This page contains news, event information, and other items added by Ian and Adam, the resident farmers at Old 99. We send out a message every week, but most are set with a delete date about two weeks later. I archive some of the posts if they have content other than weekly availability of produce and meat.

You can send me questions too, which if they are of a general nature, I can post to this Old99 blog.

We had a wonderful Equinox celebration on Saturday last. Great weather, lots of help getting set up from friends and family. The resource people for Climate Action ideas turned out fantastic, really got the conversations buzzing. The pulled pork, coleslaw and tomato salad by Cami and from all O’99 ingredients were eaten with gusto. So was my O’99 icecream! We danced till 10 to the music of The Rewynds.

We have sunflower blooms and sunchoke blossoms for sale. see the listings this week.
Anyone looking for a half pig dressed and wrapped for your freezer? Please give me the heads up. Same for a quarter beef as we have animals ready for the butcher.

With those pastured animals going in why not pick up everything else you need for a meal or your weekly groceries. We have potatoes, turnips, beets, a large variety of greens, lettuces, tomatoes, eggplants, tree fruits and so much more! Be sure to check out the market for all the amazing selections. Don’t forget to order your eggs as well. No need to go to the grocery store when the farm market is a one stop shop!

Remember to place you orders before 7am Thursdays. Orders placed after this time may not be processed.
Market pickup times are 4pm to 6pm Thursday and Friday.

Be well,
Nick & Angela
